Limon y Sal and Downtown Ventura present the 1st annual Dia De Los Muertos Celebration on Nov. 2! This is FREE, all-ages, family-friendly event will take place from Noon to 6pm on South Chestnut Street between Main and Santa Clara streets. Enjoy live music, food & drinks, outdoor cantinas, arts & crafts, face painting and much more. Catrines and Catrinas, come dressed to impress! Share your experience, using #ddlmventura and #limonysalventura

Traditional Food and Drinks

Relax with authentic mexican food cooked in slow roasted clay pots. All the food is locally sourced and hand made, the way our ancestors would do it. Enjoy while watching local beauty pageant girls dressed up as catrinas from their home state.

Live Band - InStone

Founders Daniel Velasco and Tony Guevara believe music is a vibration of life that uplifts and inspires the soul. Their music crosses many boundaries and genres merging both English and Spanish music.

Live Band - Hermanos Hererra

Hermanos Herrera is a family group consisting of five brothers and their younger sister. The group plays various styles of traditional Mexican music including Son Huasteco, Son Jarocho, and musica Norteña. They have seven recordings under the Sonbros Record label, with their most recent 2017 release under the Smithsonian Folkways record label.

Local beauty pageant girls will be dressed up as their as  catrinas from their home state. Also with traditional performances from Aztec, Folklorico and mariachi dancers.

Live Marble Sand Painting

With a special permit from the Mexican Consulate and coming to american for the first time to display his art. We have Martin Tenorio Villagomez from Uriangato, Guanajuato. He will be sing Marble Sand to depict our Dia De Los Muertos logo in front of Limon y Sal.
